Today, the ceremonial final gala of the prestigious “Podkarpackie Construction of the Year – 2023” competition took place. The event, which took place at the Ignacy Łukasiewicz Rzeszów University of Technology, gathered key figures from the construction industry, investors, representatives of design offices and regional authorities. The Gala was an opportunity to honor the best construction projects from the last year, as well as to promote local companies and innovative projects.

ERBUD International entered two prestigious investments implemented in Warsaw into the competition, which won the jury’s recognition for their quality and comprehensiveness.

Both of the investments below received the 1st degree award in the category “facilities implemented outside the Podkarpackie Province by companies based in the Podkarpackie Province”.

Increasing energy efficiency at the National Institute of Oncology

The first of the projects was the modernization of the building of the National Institute of Oncology. Maria Skłodowska-Curie – National Research Institute at Roentgena Street in Warsaw. The investment, aimed at increasing energy efficiency, included comprehensive modernization activities, such as thermal insulation, replacing window frames, installing modern ventilation and heating systems, as well as using renewable energy sources. The project significantly reduced the demand for heat and electricity, which translates into lower operating costs and a smaller impact on the environment.

Thermal modernization of the Rector’s Office of the Medical University of Warsaw

The second submitted project was the thermal modernization of the Rector’s Office building of the Medical University of Warsaw at Żwirki i Wigury Street. The main objective of the investment was to increase the energy efficiency of the public utility building. The project assumes, among other things, a decrease in greenhouse gas emissions, a reduction in the consumption of final energy, including electricity and heat.

The scope of works included comprehensive modernization and renovation works, covering various areas of construction and installations, carried out in a facility operating without interruption of its use.
