Architectural concept of the extension and modernisation of the former K. Dłuski Provincial Specialist Hospital in Białystok

The planned extension develops the urban layout of the existing hospital complex by incorporating the new cubic capacity. The designed solid integrates the directions set by the existing pavilions of the complex. The meeting point of the two spatial arrangements is the south-east corner, where the main entrance has been located. The building creates a clear, representative front for the entire hospital complex. The artistically designed façades with the use of external blinds in shades of yellow and green add variety to the solid, at the same time making the new cubic capacity harmonise with the surroundings and the existing buildings.
