Safety Week under the Agreement for Safety in Construction has ended! This year’s, 11th edition of the event was accompanied by the slogan: “EVERYTHING IS OK” #OGARNIĘTE”.
This year, we placed emphasis on the need to maintain order on construction sites and uphold the idea of responsible behavior not only at work, but also outside of it.
Safety Week, which took place between May 13 and 17, was undoubtedly a time filled with first aid training, presentations on near misses, accidents related to working at heights, and workshops during which experts shared knowledge to increase safety awareness.
Agreement for Safety in Construction is an organization associating the largest construction companies in Poland.
Thanks to the involvement of the management and construction workers of ERBUD International in Lublin and Nałęczów as well as the Management of the Occupational Health and Safety and Fire Protection Department, training was organized on the importance, use and principles of operation of Personal Protective Equipment. Together with the KILOUTOU company, instruction was provided on the selection of devices, machines and equipment to perform construction works and their safe operation.
Firefighters from the Mała Volunteer Fire Department together with the Fire Protection Inspector conducted a trial evacuation from the building on fire, organized CPR classes, fire protection training, and presented handy extinguishing agents and rules of conduct in the event of a fire.
At the construction site of the Tworki Hospital in Pruszków, with the support of an external company, Atut Rental, a training on the principles of safe use of power tools was organized, while at the Company’s headquarters in Jasionka and at our other construction sites, a practical training on first aid was organized.
